Dr. Chinnam joins Army Roundtable Committee for the National Academy

The U.S. Army, in the midst of several new initiatives set to help small businesses cross the defense acquisitions “valley of death,” has a strong interest in expanding its industrial base. To assess how to best widen this network, it has sponsored a study through the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

An Army Science & Technology roundtable is setup under the Board on Army Research and Development to explore research and acquisition related issues of interest to the Army. The Roundtable is convening leaders from government, industry, and academia to define and explore themes that are critical to the Army’s research and acquisition efforts. Dr. Ratna Babu Chinnam is a member of the committee.
